Registration opens September 14 at 10:00 AM. Lace up and join us for a fun, supportive Parent & Child skating program. Participants will build fundamental movement skills such as balance, control, and agility in a sensory-friendly environment. Children will be introduced to basic skating skills, including gliding, stopping, and moving forward, while building confidence & connecting with others. Important Details: -Participants must have their own skates and CSA-approved hockey helmet. -All participants on ice must wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet -Caregivers are required to be on the ice with their child in a 1:1 ratio. Registration is required. This program is for autistic individuals, ages 3-8 years. Due to the limited class size, we ask that participants who register can attend all six weeks. Max 2 children per family. If your family is larger than 2, please email stephanie.maguire@autismontario.com before registering. This program is generously funded by our partners at Charitable Gaming Community Good through charitable gaming fundraising at Bingo World and Gaming Richmond Hill. It is intended to support autistic people and their families in York Region, and those who live outside of this area may have their registration cancelled. Dates: Saturdays, November 7, 14, 21, 28, December 5, 12, 2026 Time: 4:15 PM - 5:15 PM Cost: $50/child. No refunds. Once your registration is successful, you will receive an automatic confirmation. If you have not received an email, be sure to check your spam/junk folders. Parent/Caregiver supervision is required. This is not a transfer of care event. The parent/caregiver is required to remain on-site. Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many families as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other families.
