This class will allow autistic adults to participate in a hands-on cooking lesson, socially interact with others and build their confidence while learning to cook a meal they can prepare all on their own. The cooking class will consist of an introduction, cooking and eating the meal we prepared together. This event is for Autistic adults (18 years+) who attend events and programs independently, without careperson support, as well as for Autistic adults (18+) who require a careperson(s) to support them. If an Autistic person requires support to attend, the careperson is expected to remain on site to provide support as needed during the event or activity. If accommodations are needed, please inquire by emailing stephanie.maguire@autismontario.com Note: All participants are required to sign a Code of Conduct annually. This program is generously funded by our partners at Charitable Gaming Community Good through charitable gaming fundraising at Bingo World and Gaming Richmond Hill.
