Neurodivergence Wales — Integrated Autism Service
Offered by Welsh Health Boards and Local Authorities
Seven regional Welsh services providing adult autism assessment, advice and support, plus training and advice for eligible parents, carers and professionals.
Wales has seven Integrated Autism Services delivered through partnerships between Health Boards and Local Authorities. They provide adult autism diagnostic assessment, advice and support for adults on the autism spectrum, and training, consultation and advice for professionals. Parents and carers of a child with an autism diagnosis can self-refer for some training and advice, but the services do not work directly with children or young people. The services also do not provide emergency or crisis intervention, respite care or rapid response. Access routes and local contacts vary by region.
Eligibility
Adults who think they may be autistic can seek a diagnostic assessment. Adults on the autism spectrum can self-refer for advice and support. Parents and carers may self-refer for some training and advice when their child has an autism diagnosis; the service does not work directly with children or young people.
