BC Autism Funding Program

B.C. funding for eligible children and youth with an autism diagnosis, accepting applications during the transition to the new needs-based disability benefit.

British Columbia Autism Funding helps eligible families pay for approved services and supports that promote skill development for a child or youth with autism.

The province states that the existing program remains open to new applications until March 2027 while families transition to the new B.C. Children and Youth Disability Benefit. Current recipients will be contacted by ministry staff; Autism Funding ends after March 31, 2027.

Families need an accepted autism assessment and diagnosis and the identity, residency, and diagnostic records listed for their assessment route. Applications can be submitted through the current online form or by email or a local Children and Youth with Support Needs office.

Eligibility

The child or youth must meet B.C.'s age, residency, and accepted autism assessment and diagnosis requirements. The current program is transitioning and is scheduled to end after March 31, 2027.

How to apply

Register for a Basic BCeID and use the current online application, or submit the application and supporting documents by email or through a local CYSN office.
