Special Services at Home (SSAH)
Offered by Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services
Ontario funding for eligible children under 18 with physical and/or developmental disabilities, supporting daily activities, growth and development, and caregiver respite.
Special Services at Home (SSAH) provides funding to eligible Ontario families caring for a child with a physical and/or developmental disability.
The child must be under 18, live in Ontario, be legally entitled to live in Canada, and need extra support beyond what is expected for their age because of disability-related functional limitations. The child generally lives at home with the main caregiver or separately without another government-funded residential service.
Eligible spending can support daily activities, growth and development, and caregiver respite. The official page also lists exclusions, including assessments and hands-on clinical therapies funded through other program pathways.
Program details can change. Confirm current eligibility, availability, costs, and application requirements with the official source before acting.
