TTC Support Person Assistance Card
Offered by Toronto Transit Commission
Free TTC photo card allowing one support person to travel at no additional charge with a cardholder whose disability requires assistance during transit.
The TTC Support Person Assistance Card identifies a rider who needs a support person during a TTC journey. One support person may travel with the cardholder at no additional charge; the cardholder pays the applicable fare.
The application must be certified by an authorized regulated health professional. The card normally expires every five years on the cardholder's birthday; shorter-term cards are available for temporary disabilities. Visitors may apply, but TTC advises allowing two to four weeks for mail processing.
The card is free. It belongs to the person requiring support, and the support person cannot use it without the cardholder.

Eligibility
A permanent or temporary disability must create a need for a support person's help with communication, mobility, personal care or medical needs, or access during the TTC journey; an authorized health professional certifies the need.
