Phoenix Children's Hospital Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) department provides evaluations, treatments, and care coordination for children and adolescents with physically disabling conditions or injuries, including cerebral palsy, neuromuscular diseases, spinal cord impairment, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and cancer-related effects. Physiatrists work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including neurologists, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, psychologists, physical and occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to develop individualized treatment plans that may include therapies, medications, assistive devices, and adaptive strategies. Care is provided at multiple Phoenix-area locations with ongoing follow-up to adapt treatment as children grow and change.
