Autism in Viet Nam: A systematic scoping review.

Published May 9, 2026

A scoping review mapping autism research, services, and support themes in Viet Nam; it does not test interventions or estimate national prevalence.

This scoping review mapped 137 autism-related studies in Viet Nam, with family, education, services, and supports among the prominent themes. It is a map of research, not a test of treatments or an estimate of national prevalence.

The review’s quality-appraisal findings should not be read as a judgment about Vietnamese people or services. Findings should be interpreted in local social, educational, and health-system context.

Source: Boyle et al. “Autism in Viet Nam: A Systematic Scoping Review.” Autism. 2026;30(4):1073–1087. https://doi.org/10.1177/13623613261425838 (PMID: 41795706).
