Itinerant Teacher
What it means
A specialist teacher who travels between schools to provide consultative or direct support. Common roles include teacher of the blind / visually impaired, teacher of the deaf / hard of hearing, and autism specialist. Usually serves multiple schools in a board, working with students, classroom teachers, and families.
