OHI (Other Health Impairment)
What it means
A US IDEA special education category covering chronic or acute conditions (ADHD, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, Tourette's, and others) that limit alertness or strength and affect educational performance. Many students with co-occurring conditions are classified under OHI.
