AS (Asperger syndrome)
What it means
A former diagnostic label that is no longer a separate diagnosis in DSM-5 or ICD-11. People with a well-established earlier Asperger syndrome diagnosis are generally included within the current autism spectrum diagnosis; some people still use the label as part of their identity.
