SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder)
What it means
A term used for significant difficulty responding to sensory information. Sensory differences are recognized in several conditions, including autism, but Sensory Processing Disorder is not a standalone diagnosis in DSM-5-TR. Assessment should consider functional impact and other possible explanations.
